The Quarantine station in Hafnir, Reykjanesbær is located only 15 minuts from Keflavík airport, so after a long travel to Iceland your pet will be at the station in few minuts.
The quarantine station has the welfare of the animals in first place, with us they receive good care and our employees take care of the animals as if they were their own pets. Our staff do play, cuddled and sit with the pets frequently during the day, the animals do have a radio on during the day and the radio is off during the night.
We are lucky with our staff who have been in the dog and cat world for many years and are professionals in their careers.
We got it through after many years of waiting to use our treadmills for dogs and balance balls and one of our employee is trained in pet physiotherapy and has been taught how to work properly with the treadmill. All animals have the same right to use our treadmill. The treadmill is not suitable for all dogs , if the treadmill is not suitable we will find something else that the animal would like.
We also have a staff member that has a good knowledge of grooming both cat's and dogs for many years.
The veterinarian of the station is Björgvin Þórisson who works well with the animals. He is always available for the station and we have a long and good cooperation with him.
Owners are welcome to contact employees via phone and email as often as they would like to get information about their animals while they are staying with us.
We do have a CCTV in the station for our employees to use.
